Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-28 · Version 1.0

By using TokenForum, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. These are v1 terms; we aim for plain language.

What TokenForum is

TokenForum is a community-maintained, source-cited, audit-trailed wiki for tokenomics data — the Wikipedia model applied to crypto token supply, allocation, vesting, and unlock schedules. Contributors are individuals, not the platform. The platform provides the infrastructure and integrity guarantees (revision history, source attribution, audit logs); the data itself comes from contributors.

What TokenForum is NOT

  • Not a financial-advice service. See our Disclaimer.
  • Not a brokerage, exchange, or trading platform.
  • Not a custodian. We never hold your tokens, funds, or wallet keys.
  • Not an audit firm. We aggregate community-submitted data; we do not certify it.
  • Not a regulated entity. This platform is a community project built under zero-budget constraints; it is not a registered business.

Account requirements

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • Accounts are personal. You may not share your credentials, and you are responsible for activity under your account.
  • One person may only operate one human-identity account. Operating multiple accounts to manipulate votes, revisions, or discussions is prohibited (see "sybil resistance" below) and may result in account suspension.
  • Wallet-linked accounts are equivalent to email/password accounts. The platform does not give wallet-linked users additional privileges or visibility.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit knowingly false tokenomics data. Honest mistakes are expected and the revision system is built to correct them; deliberate fraud is not.
  • Engage in vote manipulation, sybil attacks, or coordinated inauthentic behavior to push a project up or down.
  • Post spam, advertising, malware, or harassment.
  • Scrape the site at a rate that disrupts service. We provide a public API at /api/v1/ for data access — please use it. Rate limits apply; see the API docs.
  • Reverse-engineer, deface, or attempt unauthorized access to the platform or its database.
  • Attempt to use the platform to evade legal sanctions, launder assets, or facilitate any activity that is illegal in your jurisdiction.

Content you contribute

  • You retain ownership of content you contribute, but you grant TokenForum and the public a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and reuse it (consistent with the wiki model). This is necessary because the audit trail is permanent.
  • You warrant that you have the right to submit the content (i.e., it is your own analysis, or it is from sources you are entitled to cite).
  • All contributions are public. Do not contribute anything you would not want associated with your username permanently.
  • Deleting your account anonymizes your past contributions (attribution becomes "deleted user") but does not remove the content itself, since the integrity of the community-maintained data depends on continuous history.

Governance and editorial structure

Per ADR-0002 of the public repository, the platform applies a one-user-one-vote governance model. Token holdings, project-team status, and any other off-platform attribute do not grant additional weight or privilege. Moderation actions (deleting spam, banning abusive accounts) are taken by maintainers and are auditable in the platform's admin log.

Service availability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no guarantees about uptime, data accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. We may suspend, modify, or discontinue the service at any time, especially given the platform operates under zero-budget constraints.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the platform and its maintainers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to losses resulting from inaccurate tokenomics data, missed unlock dates, or trading decisions made based on platform content. You are solely responsible for verifying any data before acting on it.

Account termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may close your account at any time via the settings page. See the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data on termination.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the homepage for 7 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
